Game is really tedious and even though the different difficulty settings offer some variety as far as a challenge goes, nothing gets harder in whatever mode you're playing on.

It takes forever to get the medals, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that the score seems kind of random as far as how it tallies itself up. I can only imagine that there's a hit test at the bottom of the screen below the canvas that registers it and deletes the movie clip while upping the score, but whatever it is it doesn't seem to work very well (actually, that way seems like the best way of doing things if you hadn't done that already).

Also, increase the frame rate. A game like this would work better if it was smoother looking, and 12 fps (or possibly lower) doesn't cut it. Makes the game feel choppy.

Sorry for the belated reply.
I've never really considered the game tedious or the score tallying random, but I do agree on the latter. It doesn't work the way you proposed and looking back, it's actually quite a weird way that I wouldn't have gone with now.
I completely agree with the frame rate. This is partially based off of "How to make a platform game in advance" (as are all current Floorslands; the upcoming one won't even be a Flash game), and I guess I just didn't care to adjust the constants to make it work with higher frame rates (I should have as it really does feel choppy).
I definitely can't call the game good now that I look back at it. It's quite flawed, and I'd rather completely rewrite it than patch up the mistakes. Thanks for the review!

Ok, I mean the later levels are pretty much impossible unless you have a photographic memory. I just screen shotted every level before playing and used the screenshot to win, just so I can get the medals, which is obviously an extremely boring way to play. Good idea but not very well executed.

Man, I love this game. I can't even tell you how many hours I put into it...because I put in so many lol. But I finally got all the medals and I've mastered the game. In fact, on my last run I was running for 40 mins straight before I finally got bored and committed suicide.

I love how simple it is, and how there's only one button to press. The concept is fun and great. I'm never going to get the main song out of my head for eternity, that might be the only downside. Also, for medals like "swing 30 times in one run" or "float over fans for 15 seconds in one run" they should be worth more. Not necessarily because it's difficult to do those 2 things, but by the time 30 swings spawn for example you'd have to be running for like 10 minutes.

Hope you make more games like this.

It's not often that I play a game on here that makes me laugh a lot. Author of the game clearly has a sense of humor. Fun game, fun medals and very original.

Alright, where do I start. First of all, this game could have been A LOT better and it obviously has tons of potential. But there are just way too many flaws for this to be an enjoyable game as it is. First of all, the levels don't even tell you that you NEED certain upgrades to complete them. For example, I believe level 2 was impossible unless you upgraded jump a couple of times, and the big orb boss was literally impossible unless you upgraded the shooting.

Second of all, and I saw this was brought up by another reviewer, but the upgrade chart was difficult to know what you were upgrading. I'm assuming the clover meant luck, but I'm not sure what that means for the game. It took me a few minutes to realize that the target meant shooting upgrade. Just not enough information there.

Third, the controls were bad. I felt like I was sliding all over the place, and if I got hit I would just keep getting hit until I die with no time to get back in position. Maybe add some brief invincibility when you get hit. Also the shooting without an upgrade has virtually no range. Jumping on top of enemies was ok but need to bounce more. And the random spikes around each level were beyond annoying. They were barely visible and a lot of the time I had no idea I was stepping on one of them, and by the time I realized my health would be already all the way down.

Fourth, getting to the chicken was just simply ridiculous. Not only did you need to upgrade jump to max (which of course it doesn't tell you), but you had to get really lucky with the jump. Worst part is that if you didn't, you'd have to beat the skeleton boss all over again just to get another chance at the jump. That was one of the most poorly done parts of this game.

Game has potential but overall it was annoying to play. The medals of course is what makes people play it anyway, so that was a good part. Again, game has tons of potential but just too many flaws for me to consider it a good game.

I'm not sure why everyone's complaining this is hard. It's impossible for me to miss a single beat. But I guess that's because I'm a musician. lol

Galbert responds:

In fairness to them, it was a bit broken before. I fixed it up a bit after the complaints. I'm glad it's working well now.

Great game but there's a serious bug. The spacebar function doesn't work. It doesn't work when I'm reading bulletins so when I read one I'm stuck and have to refresh the page. Plus I'm unable to go through the training portion of the game because it requires using the spacebar to cycle through the text. Really hope you'll fix this soon, otherwise it's a solid game.

turtlesf responds:

shoot I had to remove duplicate bindings for the keymapping update (space was the same as E). Fixing it now. It will be up in a few minutes. In the meantime you can press E instead. I literally woke up from bed realizing this was probably broken, haha.

Alright, I'm not gonna lie I laughed my ass off at the texting part but only because it revolved around 2 chickens. Fun little game, simple and creative.

EggysGames responds:

Hahaha excellent. Thanks :)

Decent game but like others have said, this isn't anything we haven't seen before. Only difference is that you have lives and when you run out you're forced to watch ads. But that wasn't the problem for me - the problem was having to redo the previous level that I just completed if I lost on a level. This is beyond annoying when you feel good about completing a level.

It was an interesting idea to try to add that into the game but it makes the game less enjoyable IMO.

Fun game and I like the concept of shooting a bunch of mushrooms. Only thing that I can negatively is that the bosses are too hard. Either their attacks are extremely difficult to avoid, or in the case of the 2nd to last boss (the steel mushroom) his main attack is near impossible to avoid. Otherwise, challenging and fun game, keep it up.
