[The Scale of the Universe]

Nice

My physics teacher showed the class this flash this year, and I thought to myself "wait, wasn't this on Newgrounds?" and so it was. Very fun and interesting to read. Keep it up.

Bad...just bad.

First of all, the only good thing about this game is the concept. It's a good concept, with really poor execution.

Second, the bad. Where do I start? In the beginning, the second hole you have to jump over is almost impossible with the terrible edge detection. The graphics look like solid colors just converted to symbols and left alone. Not much done with animating the movement and controls. Nothing done at all, actually.

After barely finishing the first chapter, the second chapter just killed me at the beginning of its level for no reason. Then I go all the way back to the main menu.

This game certainly has potential. Just too many bugs and needs some fixing. Try fixing some of the platform errors, those were the biggest problems out of them all.

Nice simple game

I like these simple games, forget originality. It kind of caught me by surprise how short it was though.

Just one thing: The "Fool's gold" medal seems to be bugged. I got more than 70 coins yet I didn't get the medal. Check into that. But other than that, great game. I like the concept.

Err

Let me start off by first saying this was a ridiculously hard game...I thought I was going to go crazy on Scary Places. It got to the point where I was feeling light-headed and starting throwing up everywhere. Until I eventually took an advil and finished the game.

Now my problem is...I got every single goldfish, and after getting the last one,which happened to be in Scary Places, I finished the level and I didn't get the medal.

I'm really outraged, being that I spent 6 hours on this game yesterday and 3 hours today just for that medal. I don't really want to express it, otherwise this review will be marked as abusive (which it probably will be anyway).

But please try to fix this, I don't know what else to do and I'm very sad faic :(

Very good

For a first flash game, you've got loads of talent. Obviously it is very basic, but you can certainly add more to it. Make things like levels, different enemies, and health (instead of just a one-hit kill).

Also, a replay button is simple and believe me, it really works for people playing your game. A lot of people prefer pressing a nice, clean button instead of right-clicking and pressing play.

Also, instead of just basic rockets and ships you could add a different theme. Or make a background. These are all ideas that I think could really bring up the score of this flash, because 1.75 doesn't describe how well you did on this at all.

Anyway, I know if you put a lot of time into a well-thought out and fun game like this, I have faith that you can really pull off something great. Keep it up, you can only get better man.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I also appreciate the input! My next game should be more advanced. This was my first time ever coding in AS, and drawing in Flash. I used a lot of tutorials, google searches to pull this off.. but I also learned a lot about how Actionscript works. This took me quite some time to make and it means a lot to me that people enjoyed it, and are giving great feedback!

Awesome

What a great game. Such a perfect addition to newgrounds, and the medals make it so addicting. At first it was very difficult, but just a little getting used to had me be unstoppable, lol.

Here's a tip for the Walrus boss: You'll know where he's going to throw the ice cube by seeing what hand it's coming from. If it comes from his right hand, slide. If it comes from his left hand, jump.

Anyway, after getting all the medals I just had to review this game by saying it is just awesome. Keep it up, I would love to see a sequel!

Good game, but...

I seem to have the same problem as others. I fell through the ground at some point and got stuck and had to restart the whole game...must fix.

Other than that, decent game. I like the concept, but it gets kind of boring and frustrating when you have one pixel left and you're struggling to find one. Overall, decent.

Great game.

It's a great game, don't know why so many people are hating it. It's one of the better speed runners. The levels were designed well, navigation was great, and of course, medals.

The only reason I give you a 9 instead of 10 was because of the music. It gets very annoying, and I would like to keep my sound up for the sound effects without hearing the music. Which means, there should have been a mute button. Anyway, keep up the great work man!

Nice game

Very nice game. It takes some time to get used to the levels, but once you do it's not hard to get through the whole game without any continues. I must say, very frustrating.

Bonus level 5...GAAAAAHHHH. Anyway, great job man, keep it up!
